Britain’s top seed J. Clarke defeated Italy’s second seed Alexandra Bind 3-6 (6) in the final of the ITF Men’s Tennis Championship at the Gujarat University Tennis Academy on Sunday.
The 26-year-old’s victory was his second consecutive title, following his victory last week in Chandigarh.
This was the lone title of the 5th career Wong, who participated in four Challengers of India tournaments in Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune and Delhi earlier this season, but he won just three matches in all.
J, who had a career-best 153 in two weeks in 2019, was placed in ITF tournaments and was in the semi-finals at the current event against Arya Shah.
